Aim for the dead money

1/15/10
When you play a lot of sng, you recognize the other grinders who also play much, cause you have played many tables with them. Your goal should be to not play so many pots against them, instead find the players who dont have a clue what they are doing and take their chips. Here is an example how I managed to do so.

First into the pot, raise!

To often you see players open limp. It's a bad play, since you can't get the blinds without a flop. Playing a sit and go it's always good to take the blinds down without a fight. Of course, you would like some more action on your premium hands, but the blinds at least let you increase your stack some, and you can never lose a pot when everybody folds.

Obvious hyper-aggressive opponents

At a table earlier today "welcometohell85" sat on my right.
He was terribly over aggressive. Besides, those are my favorite opponents, especially when they slowplay their hits. I recommend you to keep an eye at them, aim for the dead money on the tables.
Here is an example of how he revealed his holecards.

His check-call on the flop strongly indicated on a king, because he would almost for sure bet that flop if he had missed. I saw hardly any chance that he could be empty at that stage, he probably could have a flush draw or a seven.
The turn gave me a full house, and his bet was extremely weak so i decided to raise it to verify that he had a king. Well, he min- reraised. Everything he did showed me that he was slowplaying, even though i couldn't resist 8 to 1 for a call. He pushed the river less surprising, without hesitation I could lay down my full house.
Later I asked in the chat if the had kings full, and he said "yepp".

Bet for value

1/3/10
This far traanquilize has posted every clip in our poker school, but I will try to begin doing my part as well. Even though my clip is somewhat extreme, one thing most poker players do is they bet either to small for value or does not bet or raise at all with their good hands, trying to squeeze value from their opponents. You cant always count on your opponents to bet, sometimes you have to do it on your own. That lesson have not got all the way to this guy, who might think you should play small ball even with the nuts.
